SM-Youth offers a leadership project management workshop for youth from age of 13-17.
This is an attempt intended to be a free-of-charge workshop to bless the youth group. Our target is the borderline teenage between the range of 13-17, who may or may not be able to complete secondary school and are not likely to afford professional standard training.
The workshop aims to provide the youth with basic planning and risk management tools, but with FUN & games.

Scoll will then provide a reference letter and a review report to the
youth. A reference letter from an international accredited training
organization for 14+ years might help these youth delegates to have
better success in the job market.
For the pilot 2006 workshop, we have also invited Canon
Hongkong Limited (OSS) as our pioneer IT solution community
service partner, to provide a session on how to operate/maintain the
latest model of multi-function office document center. Beauty is that
this hardware is quite generic across different brands, and that most
every office needed an office boy would need one of these machines.
In addition, from informal survey, a large segment of youth would
like to work in an office environment.
If the youth delegates could become empowered as a frontline in-house
support to this type of hardware, it might just be one of the factors
to get their foot into the corporate door.
Meanwhile, the basic project management planning & risk management
concepts might help them, in longer term. Having worked with some
of them, I am amazed to see how quickly they can absorb these professional
disciplines!

We have already invited three teenagers and a starting NGO to design
the program with us. A few rounds of discussion have been conducted.
This is to help ensuring the success of this workshop, i.e. NOT
BORING, LOTS of FUN and PRACTICAL.
Scoll aims to extend the course in different job market segments.
We only have limited resources, though all our trainers has committed
minimum of three days free training to this community service.
This course, once designed, has to be FREE-to-USE,
like PRINCE2™ , but only limited to the condition that Scoll would like
to maintain the copyright of this course and that they are FREE-to-USE
by NON Profit-making youth entities (NGOs) which cannot
afford to paying any fees.
